One of our start up insurance clients with Head Quarters in New York City is looking for a talented bookkeeper for a short term contract.
We are a talented full-time bookkeeper to commence with one of our clients as soon as possible for a two to four week contract.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced bookkeeper with a strong understanding of various accounting platforms, is detail-oriented, very organised, and a self-starter.
This person will be assisting in preparing packages of data prepared by others for the 43 states we are licensed working off of a checklist for each state. These packages may be compiled in soft copy for submission electronically or in paper form sent by snail mail.
The chosen candidate person will be assisting one member of the Finance team members and one other staff member of the Compliance department. There could be some light research on state insurance department's websites to clarify checklist items but generally involves keeping the filing process organised and in the later stages of the engagement preparing cover letters for each package, gathering signatures for the cover letters and other documents, gathering the documents to be filed, checking each package for completeness against state checklists.
We are looking for someone who can ideally start at relatively short notice and is happy working 7 hour days. This is a two week contract running from February 16 - February 26th.
