Oliver James is working with a global insurance carrier that is looking to make a senior technical hire within their claims unit. As a GL Claims Specialist, you will be the lead General Liability claims contact for the US business, and a key referral point for all TPAs. You oversee more complex, high value GL claims and give advice in order to take claims through to conclusion. You will manage key business relationships and assist management on various claims efficiency strategies.
Primary Role Duty: To analyse and investigate complex general liability claims through to conclusion, including high value claims involving litigation. To ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements; investigate coverage and negotiate settlements.
Skills/ Qualifications Required;
- 5-10 years of General Liability claims experience, gained at an insurance carrier
- Excellent knowledge of coverage matters and experience working on litigated cases
- Supervisory and/or TPA management experience highly beneficial
- Additional claims exp. within auto liability / construction liability highly beneficial
- Ability to manage a panel of TPAs, as head point of contact for GL matters
