Job Objectives |
To analyze, plan and co-ordinate, create infrastructure required to run the application environments, install & deploy the application / software and provide support that includes troubleshooting and problem solving in infrastructure, middleware and messaging platforms related issues |
Key Responsibilities |
Candidates are expected to:- |
a) Co-ordinate with core infrastructure team to ensure readiness of servers / databases, prepare requirement document b) Build environments with technical expertise in middleware technologies (JBOSS, Weblogic) and messaging platform (Kafka, MQ, Connect Direct) c) Build highly available and resilient application environments for performance and resiliency testing to test Tier 0/1 application services fail over and recovery scenarios |
d) Work with application development teams to structure the application build package for immutable and repeatable deployments e) Automate deployments of middleware and applications release changes and integrate with DevOps pipeline |
f) Troubleshoot server and network related problems |
g) Prepare the system and database backup/restore procedures |
h) Prepare and simulate disaster recovery for the managed applications |
i) Manage the releases from UAT to Production |
j) Manage deployment / promotion of changes within different stages of SDLC |
k) Automate monitoring / enable alert configuration (BMC, Geneos & Splunk) |
l) Troubleshoot Control M job failures and assist in re-run as appropriate |
m) Ensure proper documentation of processes & maintain KOP |
Key Requirements |
The candidate must have 6 - 10+ years working experience in the following areas:- |
a) Technical hands on experience in building application middleware platforms b) Working experience in containerized platform (e.g. Openshift, kubernates) c) Well versed in working on Unix/Linux platform |
d) Application deployment automation using python, groovy or other scripting languages |
e) Messaging platform expertise to build and support MQ, Kafka and Connect Direct |
f) Familiar with system and database backup/restore and disaster recovery procedures |
g) Experience in vendor product software installation and documentation of installation steps |
h) Able to document the technical architecture using servers and network diagrams |
i) Clear understanding of the Development/SIT/UAT/Production environment requirements |
j) Troubleshooting of network related problems |
k) Understand the concept of web based application's 3 tiers architecture |
l) Understand the concept of JVM and Java performance tuning m) SSL Keystore setup and renewal n) Working experience in banking Cash and payments added advantage |
