Our client is looking to hire a proficient accountant with experience in both financial reporting and audit of large multinational clients in the financial services and asset management industry.
The Role
Due to continued growth of one of the fastest growing professional services firms in Ireland, our client is looking to hire an experienced accountant with experience in audit and financial reporting. This dual role offers you an excellent opportunity to broaden your skill-set, and work across multiple business functions.
This role will require excellent technical knowledge, time management and communication skills as you liaise with senior managers across multiple teams and functions.
The role requires a strong understanding and interest in the asset management industry, previous experience working with large multinational clients in and audit function and preparing financial statements in US GAAP and IFRS, engaging with clients and senior managers to handle multiple project deliverables at once
The candidate:
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with good knowledge of the asset management industry. This opportunity would suit a motivated and ambitious senior that excels under their own initiative with minimal supervision but can maintain effective and efficient relationships with multiple teams across different functions.
This team operates across service lines including effective financial reporting, business process outsourcing, audit and statutory account production
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CPA) or other relevant qualification
- Experience in a top 20 practice and a diverse portfolio of clients
- Be ambitious and want to pursue a career in practice
- Audit and financial reporting experience of large multinational companies, with focus on Financial Services and Asset Management
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge with strong understanding of US GAAP & IFRS
- Experience asset management either through practice or industry - essential
- SAP, ERP and other financial reporting tools experience - desirable
- Experience/understanding of various fund types/structures such as UCITs, ICAVs, REITs, SPVs advantageous
