Oliver James is working with a global insurance carrier that is looking to make a senior technical hire. As a GL Claims Specialist you will be responsible for technical oversight of general liability claims, whilst also managing a panel of TPAs. You will ensure TPAs provide an excellent level of claims service and act as the lead point of contact for all GL related queries.
Primary Role Duty: To manage TPAs and act as a referral point for complex GL, including high value claims involving litigation. To ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements; and negotiate settlements.
Skills/ Qualifications Required;
- 5+ years of claims management experience within General Liability
- Excellent knowledge of GL - Construction Defect, Bodily Injury, Property, Auto Liability
- Experience outsourcing claims to TPAs, and managing these relationships (beneficial)
- Experience with high value and complex claims including litigation
- Strong education background, university degree and/or insurance qualifications
This role would ideally be based from Chicago, but we can also consider remote areas if you are able to visit their office as required. Excellent base salary, bonus and benefits package, along with a clear progression plan for the future.
