Cloud and Network Specialist (Zurich, English-speaking)

My client is looking for an experienced Cloud and Network Specialist for their headquarters in Zurich.

Role

• Development of roadmap to migrate applications to new hybrid Cloud environment (Azure, AWS, Alibaba)
• Requirements gathering and consulting with different business functions
• Design and setup of existing and new applications in the new Cloud environment
• Deployment and migration of different applications into the Cloud
• Troubleshooting issues and dealing with (internal) customer requests, sometimes involving reverse engineering.
• Support of newly created Cloud Centre of Excellence
• Training and knowledge sharing with Network Engineers in the team who are not familiar with the new environment
• Note: You will be working on multiple projects and migrations for different functions in parallel.

Requirements

• Must have a strong background in network engineering with some experience in Cloud environment
• Must be able to do both hands-on engineering work, as well as high-level architectural design, with demonstrated professional experience.
• Must be willing to support and collaborate with internal colleagues, and have good communication skills
• Must be willing to work in an agile environment with no line manager
• Must have experience with either Microsoft Azure or Alibaba Cloud; AWS is a plus.
• Must have some scripting knowledge.
• Fluent English essential, German is a plus.
• Must be an EU citizen or eligible to work in Switzerland.
